The simple rules for using Jemly.
These terms are an agreement between you and Jemar, a sole trader trading as Jemly ("we", "us") about your use of Jemly, a flashcard app for learning Spanish and French, including the website, the app and any account you create. By using Jemly you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Contact: info@jemly.co.uk.
Jemly is still being built and tested. It may have bugs, change, or be unavailable at times, and features may be added, changed or removed. Please keep your own backup (Profile > Data > Download backup) of anything you can't afford to lose. We take care of your data, but we can't promise nothing will ever go wrong.
"Your content" means the cards, decks, sentences and photos you create in Jemly.
The built-in decks, the dictionary, the design and the code of Jemly belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own learning, but you may not copy, resell or publish them in bulk, or try to take the app apart.
Please don't:
We can remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will explain why where we can.
Jemly is a study tool. We can't promise any particular result, such as a level of Spanish by a certain date.
You can stop using Jemly at any time, and delete your account in the app (Profile > Data > Delete all my data). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if we stop running Jemly, in which case we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.
Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and your legal rights as a consumer. Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, for lost profits or business (Jemly is for personal use), or for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as your device or a failure of internet services. Jemly is provided "as is" while in beta.
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Jemly afterwards, you accept the new terms; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and you keep any mandatory consumer rights of the country where you live. If we have a disagreement, please contact us first at info@jemly.co.uk and we will try to sort it out.
